YOUR RESPONSIBIITIES AS AN EMPLOYEE
DECLARATION OF UNDERSTANDING:
I Understand and agree that how I choose to behave affects others.
Failure to abide by legislative requirements, Company Policies and House Rules and/or my actions or inactions, have the ability to cause serious harm, (including death) to not only myself but my workmates and the general public.
I also understand the Chain of Responsibility will hold me accountable should I knowingly act in a manner that causes harm to another person, this includes encouraging another person to act in an unsafe manner.
I understand StraitNZ has an obligation under the Health & Safety in Employment Act (HSE Act) and is fully committed to ensuring the safety of employees, visitors and contractors whilst at work. StraitNZ will not tolerate any breaches of Legislative requirements, policies or procedures and disciplinary action will be taken on those that are deemed responsible which may include instant dismissal or refusal to enter any of our sites or our client’s sites.
I accept that I must act in a safe manner and report all incidents/accidents and near misses as soon as practical at all times. I also accept that it is my responsibility as an employee to ensure that others working alongside me are safe from harm and to report any unsafe behaviours.
I understand that If I am involved in a serious accident my next of kin will be notified. It is my responsibility to ensure that my next of kin contact details are kept up to date.
